Good morning, and Happy Friday everyone!
First and foremost, a HUGE THANK YOU to all of you! Because of YOU, we now have 2,578 signatures on this petition. I’m so incredibly grateful for every person who signed, shared, or helped spread the word. ❤️
NOW we need to act.
🚨‼️There will be a Special City Council Meeting on March 5th at 4PM at Joliet City Hall (150 W. Jefferson St., Joliet, IL 60432)
This comes as the Joliet Plan Commission prepares to vote on whether this land will be used for the proposed data center.
This meeting may be our final opportunity to speak directly to decision-makers before a vote happens. This could be our last chance to protect OUR community.
If approved, this project could mean:
⬆️💡Increased utility costs
💧⬇️Strain and depletion of our local water supply
⬆️💨Increased noise and air pollution
⚠️😷Long-term environmental impacts on our community
If that concerns you, PLEASE show up. We don’t work for our elected officials, THEY WORK FOR US. And they need to see us there. The people who will be impacted the most by their decision. I wouldn’t be writing this at 3AM on a work night if this didn’t matter deeply to me. The Joliet Community means that much. Now I’m asking you to stand with me in person.
