EE apologises for disruption caused by mast preparation work

The work involved with putting up EE’s Telecommunication mast is moving on pretty quickly this week. If anyone has concerns about disruption while the current works are being done, which aren’t being addressed by the contractor doing the work, please come back to us and we will try and take them up directly with EE.
We wrote to EE in July following the work carried out by their contractors laying foundations for the mast, to express the concerns that residents had raised with us.
We have now received an apology for the disruption caused by late running work on the evening of 16 July. EE say that they recognise that the work took place outside permitted working hours and would have caused unnecessary disturbance to residents as a result of noise and lighting. Apparently, the surfacing subcontractor involved acted independently and outside of established procedures and EE has taken disciplinary action against them including stopping them working on the rest of the project.
They have also apologised for any frustration and concern caused by the lack of access to the post box during the works. Although they do seem to dispute the extent of the disruption caused and we intend to write further to them explaining in more detail how the public were inconvenienced.
