Lorig Construction Company has withdrawn the request for a conditional use permit to build an asphalt plant in DuPage County near Waterfall Glen Forest Preserve. Thank you so much to everyone who signed our Change.org petition, contributed to the fundraiser, attended the board meetings, posted yard signs or helped in so many other ways. Strong opposition from the public has convinced Lorig that building a new asphalt plant is not a viable option. Kudos to Phil Luetkehans, of Schirott, Luetkehans & Garner, LLC, who did an excellent job representing the asphalt plant objectors at the county Zoning Board meetings.
