September 28 DuPage Zoning Board meeting change

Update - the September 28 meeting of the DuPage County Zoning Board of Appeals is being rescheduled to the end of November. The Zoning Board will meet briefly on 9/28 to reschedule; no testimony will be heard unless someone from the audience wants to speak. The November date will be posted here as soon as possible. At the August Zoning Board meeting, a traffic expert testified that heavy truck traffic from the proposed site would cause traffic conditions on Route 83 to become significantly worse. Large trucks exiting at Jeans Road would need to swerve into other lanes of traffic in order to make the turn. A zoning and planning expert - the former head of the DuPage County Development Department – testified that the asphalt plant doesn’t fit with the county’s official land use plan.
