The GCS Board of Education meets THIS Tuesday (23 July), and GCS administrative staff will ask the Board to approve a motion allowing them to move forward with a full demolition and rebuild of Lindley.
-At least one board member will likely present a motion to expressly instruct the staff to develop a plan that, at the least, preserves the historic facade of the building (incorporating the new building into the existing front portion).
-One cost estimate from a third-party structural engineer shows this could be done under $2 million (against a total rebuild budget of $76+ million).

Please email the GCS school board to communicate support for the inclusion of saving this historic building’s façade structure to help preserve the school’s legacy and connection within the historic Lindley Park and Sunset Hills neighborhoods.
