Fast 48 Stunden lang haben wir von Sonntag bis in den frühen Dienstagmorgen die schöne Zeit der vergangenen fast neun Jahre in unserer geliebten Griessmuehle gefeiert – zusammen mit unseren Freunden, die diesen Ort zu unserem Zuhause gemacht haben. Vielen, vielen Dank ans ganze Team der Griessmuehle, an alle Djs, Veranstalter*innen, treuen Wegbegleiter*innen und lieben Gäste. Das war leider vorerst unsere letzte eigene Clubnacht in der Griessmuehle.
Erfreulicherweise kam es letzte Woche zu Gesprächen mit dem Verwalter und Eigentümer des Geländes der Sonnenallee 221 und uns. Dabei wurde einvernehmlich vertraglich festgehalten, dass wir zum 03. Februar 2020 unsere jetzige Heimat erst einmal verlassen, um den Baustart des Eigentümers nicht zu verzögern. Somit bleibt uns, den Veranstaltern und der Community der Cocktail d'Amore das kommende Wochenende für die vorerst letzte Ausgabe der Partyreihe in einer XXL Version von Freitag bis Montag. Nach fünf Jahren in der Griessmuehle kann sich die „Cocktail“ hiermit gebührend verabschieden. Am Montagmorgen, den 03. Februar 2020 verstummen unsere Lautsprecher in der Griessmuehle für ungewisse Zeit.
Die Clubcommission wird sich als Moderator und Vermittler zwischen dem Eigentümer und den Betreibern der Griessmuehle für eine weitere Zwischen- und Nachnutzung einbringen. Im Verlauf der nächsten Wochen steht die Clubcommission beratend zur Seite, um einen Prozess zu gestalten, mit dem Ziel, ein nachhaltiges Konzept und Betreibermodell zu entwickeln.
Im letzten Monat haben wir nicht nur um den Erhalt unserer Griessmuehle gekämpft, sondern ebenso um den Fortbestand unseres vielfältigen Kulturprogramms. Wir sind über alle Maßen glücklich, dass die Berliner Kulturstätten untereinander solidarisch zusammenhalten und wir somit bekannt geben können, dass unser Kulturprogramm zu großen Teilen in das Programm der Alten Münze vorübergehend integriert werden darf. Unsere Mittwochs- und Donnerstagsveranstaltungen fnden erstmal im Polygon Club Unterschlupf und starten bereits diese Woche an neuer Stelle. Die Griessmuehle bedankt sich ausdrücklich bei den Bezirken Mitte und Lichtenberg für die wertvolle Unterstützung.
Ab dem 07. Februar 2020 haben die Wochenendveranstaltungen sowie Kino und Poetry Slam für zwei Monate ihr Zuhause in der Alten Münze. Eine neue Bleibe für unseren Plattenladen Latitude Record Store, der sich ebenfalls auf unserem Gelände befndet, ist bereits in Aussicht. Das benachbarte Bistro CC Neukölln wird in der aktuellen Form nicht weiterbestehen. Wir entwickeln jedoch bereits seit vergangenem Jahr ein neues gastronomisches Projekt in Neukölln, das voraussichtlich im Frühjahr eröffnen wird.
Der Parlamentsbeschluss des Abgeordnetenhauses, in dem sich der Kulturausschuss Anfang letzter Woche einstimmig mit den Stimmen von SPD, CDU, Grüne und Linke erstmalig konkret für den Erhalt eines Clubs ausgesprochen hat, ist ein starkes Signal der Unterstützung für die Griessmuehle. Wir hoffen, dass auch der Senat an den Gesprächen mit dem Eigentümer festhält, damit wir mit der Griessmuehle an unseren Standort zurückkehren können oder uns notfalls bei der Findung einer geeigneten Alternative unterstützt.
Trotzdem ist noch längst nicht alles erreicht, denn wir sind mit der ungewissen Situation um den Ver- bleib nicht allein. Die grundlegende Problematik des fehlenden Schutzes von Kulturstätten bleibt die Hauptursache für Verdrängung. Daher wollen wir in Zukunft weiter für Bestandsschutz und die Anerkennung der Clubs als Kulturstätten kämpfen und bitten alle Unterstützer*innen weiterhin unsere Pe- tition zu unterschreiben und zu teilen. Mittlerweile haben sich über 48.000 Menschen unseren Forderungen angeschlossen. Gemeinsam mit anderen bedrohten Standorten und der Clubcommission wollen wir weiterhin Aufmerksamkeit erregen und die Kampagne, die wir unter dem Hashtag #saveourspaces gestartet haben, medienwirksam ausbauen.

For almost 48 hours from Sunday to early Tuesday morning we celebrated almost nine awesome years at our lovely location in Neukölln together with our friends that made this place our home. A huge Thank You to the whole team of Griessmuehle, to all DJs, organizers, loyal companions and lovely guests. Unfortunately, this was our last club night at Griessmuehle for now.
Last week we had a meeting with the manager and owner of the area of Sonnenallee 221. It was contractually agreed that we will leave our current home on 3rd February 2020 in order not to delay the start of construction by the owner. This means, we , the organizers and the community of the Cocktail d'Amore can have the last edition of the party series in an XXL version from Friday to Monday. After fve years at Griessmuehle, the "Cocktail" can give it's farewell. On Monday morning, 3rd February 2020, our speakers at Griessmuehle will fall silent for an uncertain time.
The Clubcommission will act as moderator and mediator between S IMMO and the operators of Griessmuehle for further interim and post-operational use, and will provide advice over the course of the next week to help shape a process with the aim of developing a sustainable concept and operation model.
Last month we not only took actions for the preservation of Griessmuehle, but also for the continuation of our diverse cultural programme. We are very happy that Berlin's cultural sites are united in solidarity with each other and that we can therefore announce that our cultural programme may be temporarily integrated into the programme of Alte Münze. Our Wednesday and Thursday events will fnd shelter at Polygon Club for the time being and start already this week at the new location. Griessmuehle expressly thanks the districts of Mitte and Lichtenberg for their valuable support.
From 7th February 2020, the weekend events as well as the cinema and poetry slam will have their home at Alte Münze for two months. A new home for our Latitude Record Store, which is also located on our premises, is already in prospect. The neighbouring Bistro CC Neukölln will no longer exist in its current form. However, since last year we have been developing a new gastronomic project in Neukölln, which is expected to open in spring.
At the beginning of last week the Culture Committee of the Berlin Abgeordnetenhaus unanimously declared itself with the votes of SPD, CDU, Grüne and Linke for the frst time ever concretely in favour of retaining a club. This parliamentary resolution is a strong signal of support for Griessmuehle. We hope that the Senate will also continue its talks with the owner so that we can return with Griessmuehle to our site or, if necessary, support us in fnding a suitable alternative.
Nevertheless, not everything has been achieved yet, because we are not alone with the uncertain si- tuation to probably make way. The fundamental problem of the lack of protection of cultural sites remains the main cause of displacement. Therefore, we want to continue to fght for the protection of the club's existence and the recognition of the clubs as cultural sites and ask all supporters to continue to sign and share our petition. In the meantime more than 48,000 people have joined our deman- ds. Together with other threatened sites and the Clubcommission, we want to continue to raise awareness and expand the campaign we started under the hashtag #saveourspaces in a media-effective manner.
