Gespräche zu bedrohtem Club in Neukölln S IMMO: Clubkultur langfristig am Standort wünschenswert

In den vergangenen zwei Tagen fanden Treffen statt zwischen Robert Neumüller, Geschäftsführer der S IMMO Germany GmbH, David Ciura, Geschäftsführer der Griessmuehle, Staatssekretär Christian Rickerts, der Abgeordnete von Bündnis90/Grüne Georg Kössler, sowie Lutz Leichsenring und Sascha Disselkamp, Vertreter des Geschäftsführenden Vorstands der Clubcommission Berlin e.V., um über die Zukunft des Clubs Griessmuehle auf dem Areal der Sonnenallee 221 in Berlin-Neukölln zu sprechen.
Der Kulturausschuss des Berliner Abgeordnetenhauses hatte Anfang der Woche einstimmig mit den Stimmen von SPD-Fraktion Berlin, CDU-Fraktion Berlin, Grüne Fraktion Berlin und DIE LINKE. Berlin, einen Antrag zur Griessmuehle beschlossen. Es war damit das erste Mal, dass das Berliner Abgeordnetenhaus sich für den Erhalt eines Clubs durch Parlamentsbeschluss ausspricht.
Auch bei den Gesprächen mit den Eigentümern des Areals, der S IMMO Germany GmbH, auf dem der Club seit fast 10 Jahren besteht, bekräftigten alle Beteiligten, dass eine lebendige Clubkultur zum Markenkern Berlins gehöre und geprüft werden soll, ob perspektivisch ein clubkultureller Betrieb auf dem Gelände gehalten werden kann.
Als Ergebnis der Gespräche wurde schriftlich vereinbart, dass die Gespräche konstruktiv und freundlich verliefen. Da allerdings mit den Baumaßnahmen begonnen wird, könne ein weiterer Clubbetrieb ab Februar nicht mehr stattfinden. Obwohl bereits Bauvormaßnahmen getroffen wurden, sicherte die S IMMO aber vorbehaltlich der Zustimmung des derzeitigen Hauptmieters zu, dass eine Abschiedsveranstaltung bis zum 3. Februar gestattet sowie der Zeitraum für eine Räumung bis Mitte Februar verlängert wird.
Die S IMMO bestätigte zudem, dass sie eine künftige Entwicklung auf dem Gelände zu Veranstaltungs-, Gastronomie- und Clubflächen gemeinsam mit der Clubcommission prüfen möchte und dafür an einem Partizipationsworkshop teilnehmen werde. Die S IMMO begrüße dabei ausgesprochen, wenn ein clubkultureller Betrieb Bestandteil des zukünftig entwickelten Areals sein könnte. Auch wurde von der S IMMO in Aussicht gestellt zu prüfen, ob bereits während der Hochbauphase eine Zwischennutzung einer Freifläche auf dem Areal möglich sein kann. „Wir können uns auch vorstellen, dass bereits während der Bauphase in den nächsten Jahren ein temporärer Ort auf dem Gelände geschaffen wird, der dem Neuköllner Geist entspricht.“, so Neumüller.
Die Clubcommission wird sich als Moderator und Vermittler zwischen der S IMMO und den Betreibern der Griessmuehle für eine weitere Zwischen- und Nachnutzung einbringen, sowie im Verlauf der nächsten Woche beratend zu Seite stehen, um einen Prozess zu gestalten, mit dem Ziel, ein nachhaltiges Konzept und Betreibermodell zu entwickeln.
Zudem konnte die Griessmuehle kurzfristig ab Februar eine Zwischenlösung an einem anderen Standort schaffen, um mit ihrem bereits gebuchten und angekündigten Programm für die nächsten Wochen „ins Exil“ gehen zu können.

Over the past two days, meetings took place between Robert Neumüller, Managing Director of S IMMO Germany GmbH, David Ciura, Managing Director of Griessmuehle, State Secretary Christian Rickerts, Member of Parliament of Bündnis90/Grüne Georg Kössler, as well as Lutz Leichsenring and Sascha Disselkamp, representative of the Managing Board of Clubcommission Berlin e.V., to talk about the future of the Griessmuehle Club on the grounds of Sonnenallee 221 in Berlin-Neukölln.
At the beginning of the week, the Culture Committee of the Berlin Abgeordnetenhaus decided unanimously with the votes of SPD parliamentary group Berlin, CDU parliamentary group Berlin, Green parliamentary group Berlin and DIE LINKE. Berlin, on a proposal dealing with Griessmuehle. This was the first time the Berlin Abgeordnetenhaus declared itself in favour of retaining a club by parliamentary resolution.
During talks with the owners of the site, S IMMO Germany GmbH, where the club has existed for almost 10 years, all those involved confirmed that a lively club culture is part of the brand essence of Berlin and that it should be examined whether a club cultural operation can be kept on the site in the future.
As a result of the discussions, it was agreed in writing that the talks were constructive and friendly. However, as construction work is now underway, it was agreed that no further club operations could take place after February. Although preliminary construction work have already been taken, S IMMO assured, subject to the approval of the current main tenant, that a farewell event would be permitted until 3rd February and the period for eviction would be extended until mid-February.
The S IMMO also confirmed that it would like to examine a future development of event, catering and club areas on the site together with the Clubcommission and would therefore participate in a workshop. S IMMO would be very pleased if a club cultural operation could be part of the future developed area. S IMMO also held out the prospect of examining whether it might be possible to make interim use of an open space on the site during the building construction phase. "We can also imagine that during the construction phase in the next few years a temporary location will be created on the site that reflects the Neukölln spirit," said Neumüller.
The Clubcommission will act as moderator and mediator between S IMMO and the operators of Griessmuehle for further interim and post-operational use, and will provide advice over the course of the next week to help shape a process with the aim of developing a sustainable concept and operation model.
In addition, Griessmuehle was able to find an interim solution at another location at short notice from February onwards in order to be able to "go into exile" for the next few weeks with its already booked and announced programme.
