Nashville is in shock and reeling from a massive tornado that devastated so many lives and buildings on Monday night. It's hard to believe but I have seen two tornados demolish Music City in my 30 years living here.
In East Nashville where I live the tornado ripped a pathway through businesses and homes nearly a mile from where I slept. I feel incredibly lucky that my family, home, and studio are fine.
But the devastation has left us all with a deep desire to do something to help our neighbors. Here is a quick way you can join me in helping everyone in Nashville now if you live in Davidson County.
Thursday night the Metro Council will vote on BL2019-48 which will allow people to work from home studios and other home businesses to support themselves during the long rebuilding process. But the council needs to hear from you now to know if they should vote yes.
Do you want the Metro Council to vote "yes" for home studios in Music City on Thursday night?

Let's rebuild Nashville by allowing neighbors across the city to serve each other from home to home.
Want to do more?
Join us at the Metro Council public hearing Thursday night to show your support.
Thursday March 5, 6:30 pm Metro Council meeting and public hearing to vote on the new home business bill that will finally allow home studios and other home businesses to accept customers and build stronger neighborhoods.
Bring water, snacks, posters (8.5"x11"), and patience as we become part of history being made in Music City. Get up and speak if you want or simply raise your hand in support when the council asks.
