Thank you again for all your support! It has been less than 48 hours since we started this petition and we have already gathered almost 12,000 signatures to save home studios in Nashville by allowing people to work from home and serve customers in their homes. Amazing!

I feel very confident that this growing petition will help make a real impact and impress upon the Nashville Metro Council just how important this issue is to Nashville and that a solution is needed asap. As this petition grows the Metro Council gets notified directly from Change.org. Pretty cool right? :-)

Since starting this petition I have learned that Change.org asks for donations when people sign the petition. I did not set that up it is automatic through the service. Those funds go to advertising the petition (like boosting a Facebook post) which does seem to be working great and are helping this go viral. So thank you to all of you that have donated! But please be aware that the funds do not go to me or anyone involved in the petition. 

I am told that this Tuesday January 7 6:30pm council member Dave Rosenberg plans to make an initial presentation of his bill Bill BL2019-48 at the Metro Council meeting and that the council will likely send it back to the Metro Planning Commission for additional review. I have also learned that Dave plans to bring the bill back to the council for a second reading and official public hearing sometime in the next couple of months. This is exciting news as it means things are moving forward!

The Metro Council Meetings are open to the public and you are of course welcome to attend any of them. You can also watch the live broadcast here. I will either be at the council meeting this evening or at a local Grammy event helping to spread the word about our effort to save home studios.
