Not much we can update on... Still waiting for confirmation of meeting details and we have given Natural England details of our suggestions for some ways in which hacking could work so it's all now a waiting game.

But it's been a tough week at the yard for a different reason this week.... Fireworks!

Bonfire night and Diwali always bring a challenge in that people start setting off fireworks and not many people are aware of the guidance around seeing off fireworks near to livestock... We don't want to stop people having fun, we just want a bit of notice if there neighbouring businesses, charities and residents are having displays... Because then we can prepare and keep the horses safe.

Twice in the last week we have had displays on our doorstep without any advance warning... And twice we have had to try and calm distressed horses who were a potential danger to themselves. Its heartbreaking to see... And for what? Some pretty lights in the sky?

So, back to the hacking... Just over 2 weeks to go and then hopefully, finally we will get some answers. By the time we get to the meeting it will be almost 6 months to the day since we started this petition and 6 months since we were able to peaceful hack without risk of injury or abuse.
