As of May 15, 2021, The petition to #SaveHanazuki has reached 2,387 and is still going a little bit slow, But there has been news regarding Netflix over the past nine months. The Save Hanazuki Movement will no longer call for Netflix to order new episodes of Hanazuki due to a controversy brought up by the streaming service releasing a french film that is promoting softcore child pornography. This move had gotten Netflix indicted by the Texas Grand Jury based on allegations that they were promoting "lewd visual material" of children. 

For now on, The Save Hanazuki Movement will call on Amazon Prime Video to continue the series and for Sony Pictures Television Studios to co-finance the continuation of the show for Hasbro and Entertainment One.
