A Christian apologist named Edis Sidabutar, known on social media as EDIS TV, is currently experiencing persecution in the Indonesia. He has become the target of attacks and threats that endanger his life and freedom, solely because of his courage and dedication in expressing his Christian views.

Some Muslim groups in Indonesia who disagree with Edis Sidabutar’s views and activities are trying to find ways to harm, or even kill him, or to have him deported back to Indonesia. Such actions are not only physically dangerous for Edis but also violate fundamental human rights to express opinions and hold beliefs.

Edis Sidabutar is simply exercising his right to speak and express his opinions through social media platforms, without any malicious intent or violation of the law. The threats and persecution he faces undermine the values of freedom of speech and freedom of religion that should be respected everywhere.

International support is urgently needed to protect everyone from this kind of persecution. The discriminatory and hateful actions against him must stop so that he can live and work safely.
