Hello Dragon Age community,
I would like to use this petition to save Dragon Age.,This petition was previously for Mass Effect and Dragon Age, but has now been renamed to savedragonage. Now I would like to share my experience with Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age II, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Dragon Age: Origins was released on November 2, 2009, but I started playing it in 2011, during my vocational training. I also caught up by playing Dragon Age II.Dragon Age: Origins has turned out to be an awesome game even to this day. For me, it’s a cult classic that’s now turning 17 years old.
Dragon Age 2 also had a good story, though it had some weaknesses regarding its environments; for me, however, it was still a good game with plenty of character.
For me, Dragon Age: Inquisition was one of the best games from its characters to its various regions (though some aspects were rightfully subject to criticism). Skyhold, in particular, was a fantastic place to talk with others, craft armor, complete tasks, or delve deeper into the history of the elves.
So far, I’ve been enjoying *Dragon Age: The Veilguard*, though it’s certainly not head and shoulders above the other entries in the series that I’ve played. That said, *Dragon Age: The Veilguard* does have its charms; there were moments where I felt it was genuinely good, but there were also times when I lost interest.
BioWare asked EA about the possibility of remaking *Dragon Age: Origins* and *Dragon Age II*, as well as remastering *Dragon Age: Inquisition* and *Dragon Age: The Veilguard*, but the proposal was rejected by EA.
BioWare has begun work on *Dragon Age: The Veilguard*, and EA has also gotten involved here are a few points: Originally planned as a live-service game: At one point, the project was intended to be designed as a multiplayer or live-service game (modeled after *Anthem* or similar titles).
A change of direction following setbacks: After the failure of *Anthem* and the success of games focused entirely on single-player gameplay such as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order BioWare (and EA) steered the project back toward being a purely single-player role-playing game.
Multiple restarts: Constant shifts in direction, repeated changes in course, and internal problems at BioWare resulted in a difficult, years-long development process and high costs.
Economic pressure: Following its release, the game failed to meet Electronic Arts' expectations, which led to economic cutbacks at BioWare.
Electronic Arts can’t wriggle out of this it’s your turn now, and we aren’t giving up!
