Dear Supporters,

I`m writing to give you a final update on the status of Ye Olde Swiss Cottage and our campaign to save it.

The Legal Situation

We informed you that the owner had appealed the building's Asset of Community Value (ACV) status.

The owner withdrew this appeal just before the hearing date. 

While this means the building technically keeps its community protection until 2030, the "Right to Bid" window for local groups has officially closed.

 

The Current Uncertainty

 

We have no hard evidence if the pub is currently listed on the open market. There are no public commercial advertisements or sale signs.

 

The owner has not released any information regarding their plans. We do not know if they intend to sell it, let it sit empty, or if a private sale is already happening behind closed doors.
