On the 23rd July, Alisdair Stewart the Director of National Services raised the possibility of a meeting with the Mayor of Salcombe and another interested party. (Name redacted).
Since then the campaign organisers have repeatedly asked for a meeting with Age UK.
Nothing. No response other than the same PR statement that they issued in May.
Since then several charities have offered to take Woodcot on- to keep Woodcot running as a residential home- which would mean the residents could stay in their homes.
Age UK are ignoring us. Hoping that we will go away.
They say “nothing has changed. “
This is not true. Much has changed since the campaign started.
They say a local meeting will be helpful later.
Well it is later. It is six weeks since your email Mr Stewart.
Now is the time for that meeting.
