Salcombe locals enjoyed an afternoon at Woodcot this week in aid of Salcombe Minibus.

This vital service runs locals up and down the hill, weekly visits to the supermarkets in Kingsbridge as well as trips further afield. 

Another shining example of just how important Woodcot is to local charities. It truly is Salcombe’s most precious asset.
 If Age Uk sell it into private ownership this vital resource will be lost to many small local  charities. we cannot allow that to happen. Not on our watch. 

If Age UK’s operational size makes Woodcot financially unviable then they should gift it on to another charity with smaller overheads who can continue its charitable purpose. It was after all gifted to them.
