On 4 November 2024, prospective developer FM Group's application for planning permission on plot A1, the woodland plot, went live on the City of Edinburgh Council's planning portal. Residents of neighbouring properties would have received notification, but ANYONE can comment - the deadline for comments is Fri 29 November.

The plans are for an elevation of 4 stories and a total of 104 apartments - so a bit different to the proposals seen at the pre-application consultation events held by FM in October and November last year, and in February this year.

As a campaign committee, our position remains as it was when we provided feedback at the pre-application consultation events: ANY development on ANY part of the Ponds site would be unacceptable to us, as it would fragment this much-loved, naturalised blue-green space and disrupt the precious wetland and woodland habitats that Nature has created here.
