Hello everyone!
We have had several communication exchanges with relevant people at the Government of Alberta, and we know that some people are paying close attention to what we have to say.
That said, it is not likely that our offer to meet as a group with the Government for meaningful consultation, with questions and answers from both sides, will be accepted.
We have been told to meet as individual units with the member of the Government’s team who is working on this file, and we look forward to those meetings happening as early as next week.
If you are a board member at an Alberta VSU that has not yet met with the individual managing the redesign for the Ministry, know that they are encouraging all units to meet with them. Our goal with this campaign has been to help the Government to connect with experts who can help them to deliver victim services for all Albertans in a better way, and so we encourage all board members to connect with the redesign team at the Government of Alberta to provide your feedback directly.
