we have Canadian wild horses and the first horse racing track in Canada in the same Province!

my research into the history of the land on which the Vernon kin Horse Track is located told of a land owner who when he passed away he willed the land to the city and the regional district so that it would be maintained and kept operating as an equine center which included horse racing. because the lower levels of government do not consider there to be value in keeping it as such they hope to live out the members of the equine society who has kept it tied up in the courts to prevent them from completely demolishing it. they do not discuss thecosts of the legal processes they are attempting to use to distinguish the history of being the first professional horse racing track of Canada and the potential to the tourism revenue it could provide for a struggling city. by returning the ownership to the indigenous people of the Okanagan the queen would bring international attention to watch how and what they do to reclaim and replenish the land as their ancestors did in the past and to learn how to be the caretakers of our land not just the consumers. the four chiefs of the Okanagan would always discuss and tell stories of what they would do for the people to be and now it is time for us to talk the talk of the four chiefs and plan how we will mend and heal to make way for the next people to be. limlimt, suma gail "May the Great Spirits grant me the paitence and understanding to not critize they neighbor until i have walked at least a mile in his or her moccasins. .
