Our campaign has now been covered in the Northwich Guardian:

This is not a battle between residents living near the hospital and those who want to save Verdin Park. Both concerns are valid — parking pressures and green space protection — and they should not be set against each other.
There are plenty of viable alternatives to using the park. These have been dismissed for flimsy reasons, such as a rule that multi-level parking would require rental rather than capital expenditure. Such artificial financial constraints should be challenged, not used as an excuse to destroy our open spaces.
Together, we can show that protecting Verdin Park and solving parking pressures are not mutually exclusive.
