What is at stake?
The community of Orangetown and all of Rockland County is at risk of losing another farm, one of the last three remaining farms in all of Rockland County.

Why is now the time to act?
If Van Houten Farms is unable to grow and diversify it is no longer viable.  This can only result in the total loss of the garden center, farm market, and horse stables, and the sale of the property for development.  The farm has already sustained irreparable damage and every day that passes in which we are not able to grow our business is one day closer to the demise of the farm.  Our farm, which is possibly the oldest business in Orangetown, can not withstand much more.
