Tyra, the iconic 25-metre-tall dinosaur sculpture, has been greeting families and dinosaur enthusiasts in Drumheller for a quarter of a century. This 65-tonne attraction, representing an imposing creature that is over four times the size of an actual T-Rex, symbolizes the spirit and charm of our town. But now, Tyra is on the brink of extinction. The Drumheller & District Chamber of Commerce has announced that Tyra, alongside the gift shop and visitor information center, is set to close at the end of its lease in December 2029.

We can't bear to imagine Drumheller without our beloved Tyra. It's not just a sculpture or a tourist attraction - it's a beacon of our community, fostering a sense of pride and wonder for families and dinosaur lovers across the globe.
