Thomas Jefferson Middle School and Lewis and Clark Middle School’s Eighth Grade graduations are being live-streamed to our parents since “eighth grade isn’t that much of a “milestone” to celebrate it fully.” It’s stupid. Our parents should be able to come in person and see our success throughout middle school, to see how their children grew throughout their two years there. Most importantly, surviving it. Yeah they always say, “High school is gonna be way worse.”, “High School is hell.” etc, but Middle was and is the definition of “on the way to hell.” They shouldn’t start the process of saying “covid this, covid that,” when we literally have optional masks. If covid’s such an issue, then they should have masks enforced again and make parents wear them, at-least only this day. If our school to too small to hold everyone’s parents, have it somewhere big enough. We don’t care, we just need our parents to see us graduate. Besides high school graduation, this is our biggest day in our entire lives. Don’t ruin it for us, please.
