Dear Supporters of Patterson Park (and Windmill Point Park!) Playgrounds, I am thrilled to share some fantastic news with all of you. Our collective efforts and unwavering dedication to preserving the magic of our community's playgrounds were a success! The City Council has listened to our voices, and I'm delighted to announce that both the Patterson Park playscape and Windmill Point Park are set to receive the attention and improvements they deserve. Patterson Park, our cherished wooden playscape, has been saved from demolition. Instead of replacing it with a new metal structure, it will undergo much-needed repairs and enhancements while preserving its unique character and imaginative spirit. This victory is a testament to the power of community advocacy and the importance of preserving the places that hold special meaning to us all. But that's not all! Windmill Point Park will soon welcome a brand-new playground, offering another delightful space for our children to explore and play. This exciting addition will further enrich our community and provide even more opportunities for families to come together and create lasting memories. I want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who signed our petition, attended the meeting last night, and lent your voices to this cause. It's because of your dedication that we were able to make this positive change happen. This victory reaffirms the belief that when a community comes together with a shared vision, we can achieve remarkable things.
