Great News! The residents of Geoffrey Road met up with Vicky Foxtrot MP for Labour this week on a powerful zoom, and she lends her support to our campaign. Thank you for helping us reach nearly 2,000 signatures! Pls keep sharing - WE are FAR from over! Next week sees this campaign reach 1 month. WE WILL WIN! Thanks for caring and helping us stop the destruction.. Let's believe that 'through the keyhole will be something beautiful..'
Here is how some of the conversation went with Vicky, a resident wrote..
'Just spoke to Vicky Foxcroft. I asked her to help us by: explaining the process for complaining to the planning ombudsman (which we have now done)
obtain copies of the 27 requirements and send them to us;
ask Lewisham to delay the start of the development until the other three developments were completed and to allow time for our complaints to the ombudsman to be properly investigated.
I also invited her to sign the petition - she can't - and to help raise awareness about our social media campaign.
Also encouraged her and/ or someone from her office to visit Geoffrey Rd to speak to residents.
She was very receptive and said she'll do what she can to help.
A member of her team was taking notes throughout so hopefully there will be some follow up. Will forward on her response.
Not sure of the dates of her next surgeries but you can easily drop her a mail explaining the strength of feeling against all these unnecessary developments and ask for a surgery slot.
Enjoy your weekend! And thanks again!
Please share, and keep supporting wildlife
xx love, Geoffrey Road residents and wildlife
