Save the Shark River

Save the Shark River
The Issue
Shark River Estuary, back bay and river leading to the North and South Channels by Route 35 HAS NEVER BEEN DREDGED. This area is a mudflat during low tide. On all levels, environmental, ecological, recreational, and historical, we must save the river. It is the home to the American Eagles and their young, among other birds and wildlife. It is frequented by water enthusiasts, including jet skiers, canoers, kayakers and paddle boarders. It is a favorite spot for fisherman. The Lenape Indians have a long history here. We must let the LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL OFFICIALS KNOW this area is in danger of extinction. That means it will NOT BE USABLE in the near future unless someone takes the initiative to fund the dredging. Please sign this petition tell the officials you care about saving the Shark River. Thank you.
