A few weeks in and slowly gaining momentum, so far this week over 100 votes, your continued support is delivering this through your 'SHARES', and the matter is being openly discussed within the 'Angling Community', MORE ACTION IS REQUIRED FROM EVERYONE THAT HAS VOTED , PLEASE

The 'shares' I have been kindly allowed through 20 'Fishing and Shooting Group' sites on Facebook and Twitter with a reported between them over 170 thousand members. If all these reported memberships were shared by each individual, that would equate to about 8, 500, against where the voting for the cause stands at just under 1,300. Fly Fishing and Fly Tying Magazine has also shared in the August issue. I urge you again to 'SHARE' 'SHARE' 'SHARE'

LETS TAKE A CLOSER LOOK AT SOME FACTS

The Licensing scheme is not working, is totally imbalanced and not directed to protect the diminishing fish stocks in our Rivers, Canals, Lakes, Reservoirs and Small Still Water Fisheries. The purpose of this 'cause' is to bring pressure to bear upon NRW to change their views and stance.

  1. Licensing operates between November and March, so, so, so, 'Goosanders and Cormorants' do not predate between March and November ??
  2. Restricted in numbers of Culling allowed, as an example River Dovey and tributaries, over 300 miles in total, 3 Goosanders and 2 Cormorants ??( It is known that a roost in the Dovey Estuary has at least 50 Cormorants present, and a Nature Reserve not many miles from the Dovey 200 + Goosanders on it)
  3. One can only cull 1 Cormorant and 1 Goosander per calendar month ??
  4. Birds must only be culled when actively feeding ??
  5. Birds must only be culled when present in groups of two or more.??
  6. 12,16 or 20 bore shotgun, no other firearm can be used and Lead shot may not be used ?
  7. Have you tried Scaring tactics (River Dovey  catchment, 300 + miles)?? Frighten them to move them to predate elsewhere??

Let us look from another angle now, our Kingshfishers and Herons are reportedly visiting garden ponds far more now than they were, our very own native bird populations having to compete for food. This spring Herons were observed in country ponds where Frogs come to spawn, eating the Frogs and also following the farmers plough after earthworms, the writing is on the wall.

What happens to the birds when the fish stocks are gone, the increasing population and predation spells 'DISASTER FOR ALL'.

Vote, Vote, Vote and Share Share Share,  Approach your MP/ AM and insist on action, we need the 'Preditors' culled to a degree when the balance in nature is restored.

WE NEED GOOSANDERS AND CORMORANTS ON THE GENERAL LICENCE
