Save The Reuben/Richard French Howard Cemetery
The Issue
The Richard French Howard cemetery is located 0.5 miles up Coon Creek. Several patriarchs of Magoffin County are buried there including
Reuben Howard, Nancy Arnett Howard, Richard French Howard, Perlina Howard, and possibly James and Cynthia Howard. I am a descendant of all of these people.
In 2022, the cemetery arch was taken down and thrown In the creek. The graves were plowed up and desecrated at some point. As of 2023, the land was sold to new owners, and the arch has not been put back up.
This petition is to restore the Richard French/Reuben Howard Cemetery for all descendants to enjoy and learn about their forefathers for generations to come
