Save The Racquetball Courts - LA Fitness Keller
The Issue
Every evening and weekend, the racquetball courts at our local club in Keller, TX, come alive with activity, laughter, and camaraderie. For over 15 years, our community has been meeting here, playing matches that range from lighthearted beginner to intense pro-level games. We've shared victories, defeats, and, most importantly, forged friendships and memories that we cherish dearly.
Recently, we faced the unfortunate news that Court 1 would be repurposed for other uses. While we understand and respect the business decision behind this change, we are deeply concerned about the future of racquetball at our club if Court 2 also faces closure. For many of us, these courts are more than just a recreational space; they're a second home, a place where we've built lasting relationships and nurtured our passion for the sport.
Racquetball is not just a game for us; it's a vital part of our lives. The loss of additional courts will drastically impact our ability to play, learn, and engage with others who share this passion. It threatens the vibrant community dynamic we so dearly treasure. Reducing our available courts would mean many members, disheartened, might abandon the sport altogether as it becomes increasingly difficult to schedule games and practices.
We're calling on our club's management to reconsider the use of both courts. Preserving this space for racquetball will ensure the sport remains accessible to current and future enthusiasts and supports the flourishing community that thrives on these courts. By maintaining all of our Racquetball courts, the club can continue to support an active and passionate group of members who have been loyal for years.
Please join us in urging the club to protect and preserve our courts for racquetball. Together, we can ensure that our community's spirit and the opportunities for play are not being diminished. Your support is crucial; let's keep the energy and joy of racquetball alive in Keller! Sign this petition to show our club just how important these courts are to us all.
