About a week ago, I sent out an update with a link to a poll about raising taxes for a repair or replacement of the bridge. The results were not encouraging, which is a problem because it's increasingly unlikely we can get outside funding for anything except the MassDOT Bridge. The good news is that with de facto historic status, we should be able to negotiate for a good bridge. If not, we don't have to accept the bridge.
