Dear Supporters of the Cox Science Center,

 

Thank you for sharing your passion for the planetarium and observatory in our upcoming expansion. We’re thrilled to see such strong community interest in the planetarium and observatory, and we want you to know that we hear you. Our goal is to ensure that space education remains a pertinent part of our mission to open every mind to science, and your feedback is a crucial part of this process. We recently met with Holly, Mark, Jim and the team to explore solutions that respect your input and enhance our future offerings.

 

We’re excited to introduce a state-of-the-art theater that will allow us to offer astronomy-themed shows regularly, with an immersive planetarium experience that matches or exceeds what we currently offer.  Beyond that, we’re eager to become a community hub for astronomy through citizen science nights along the Science Trail, welcoming local astronomy clubs, educators and enthusiasts to share their passion and expertise under the night sky.

 

We are committed to maintaining and expanding our space education programming as our campus grows to nearly double its size and are actively exploring innovative ways to replace the observatory experience with modern, community-focused astronomy programming and events. Thank you for your passion and support as we continue building a world-class science center for all.
