You will notice 6am start times for minor hockey and figure skating. Minor hockey has end times after 11pm. Adult hockey end times are after midnight. This plan is also only for a one year snapshot and does not factor in population growth and increased registration. The City of Castlegar is the decision maker to close the Pioneer Arena and will vote on this at a yet to be determined city council meeting. The next council meetings are on Feb. 5 and Feb. 20 at 3pm at 445-13th Avenue. Please reach out to the Castlegar City Councilors and ask them to vote 'NO' to closing the Pioneer.
