During the rec commission meeting it was disclosed that their has been no motion to the RDCK or the City of Castlegar to close the Pioneer Arena and it is the MOU, not any issue with the Pioneer, that is driving the closure.  The City of Castlegar wants to treat the Pioneer Arena property as free land to be sold to a developers, which is unethical and must be stopped!
