Lifeforce is asking Canada and the US to enact a public comment period with full disclosure of all experimental plans. Endangered orcas must not be studied to death by cumulative experiments that have been part of the problems NOT solutions!

The photo shows one type of a long term tracking device that pierces the orcas’ dorsal fins creating open wounds. In 2016 an orca in the endangered Southern Resident Killer Whales family suffered from an infection and died.

Trackers attached by suction cups could be used but the orcas’ travel patterns can be determined by public observations and the vast system of underwater hydrophones (microphones) already in the oceans!
