Save the Ogle Haus
The Issue
SAVE THE OGLE HAUS: Ask Boyd Gaming to Pause Demolition and Give Vevay a Chance to Save it.
The Ogle Haus is more than a building. It is part of Vevay’s story. Please give us time to find a way to save it.
The Ogle Haus has been part of Vevay, Indiana, for generations.
Built by Paul Ogle in the 1980s, it became a place where people gathered, celebrated, worked, traveled, shared meals, and made memories.
For many people, the Ogle Haus isn’t simply a hotel.
It’s where they celebrated a wedding.
It’s where they took their family.
It’s where they worked their first job.
It’s where they met friends.
It’s where they experienced Vevay.
Now, the Ogle Haus is facing demolition.
Boyd Gaming has silently made moves to close and demolish the property in favor of green space as early as 9/8.
But demolition is permanent.
We are asking Boyd Gaming to PAUSE demolition.
We are asking Boyd Gaming to give the community, preservation advocates, local leaders, and potential partners a reasonable opportunity to explore whether the Ogle Haus can have another life.
We are already 733 strong. Sign if you’re with us.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS PETITION IS NOT A FUNDRAISER. NO MONEY IS BEING REQUESTED.
We are simply asking people to sign and share their support for giving Ogle Haus a chance to be saved.
