
According to Nova Scotia Public Accounts the below sums were disbursed to Northern Pulp. $127 Million dollars could have easily benefited the Health Care System, Education System, Seniors Care, Veterans etc.
With so much money being spent on one company, it makes it a lot harder for the total economy of Nova Scotia to prosper and flourish.

In addition to this, the Boat Harbour Clean up cost is growing and will probably exceed $300 Million Dollars. The new proposed effluent process is also increasing in costs and is estimated at $130 Million dollars.
