The CPGRAMS appeal concerning the Great Nicobar Island Project (Appeal No. MOEAF/E/A/26/0000336) has been closed with the following remarks:

"Your complain has been forwarded to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), Department of Forest and Wildlife, Government of Andman and Nicobar Islands for necessary action. Therefore, you are requested to kindly contact to the office of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), Department of Forest and Wildlife, Government of Andman and Nicobar Islands for further requisite information."
The matter has therefore been referred by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), Andaman & Nicobar Islands, for necessary action.

As of the date of this update, no communication, action taken report, email response or other correspondence has been received from the office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), Andaman & Nicobar Islands regarding the representations submitted on the issue.

Further response from the concerned authority is awaited.
