The Newportville Fire Company has proudly served the Newportville and surrounding Bristol Township community for generations. Its volunteer firefighters are there when residents experience fires, medical emergencies, accidents, and other situations where every second matters.

Now, the future of the Newportville Fire Company is in question, and our community deserves answers.

There are serious concerns that decisions being considered by Bristol Township officials and the fire company’s leadership could result in the closure or loss of local emergency services from the Newportville firehouse. Any decision that could affect emergency response in our neighborhood should not be made without full transparency, meaningful public input, and a clear understanding of how it will impact response times and public safety.

We are asking Bristol Township officials and the Newportville Fire Company leadership to stop, listen to the community, and provide complete transparency about the proposed changes and the reasons behind them.

Our firefighters volunteer their time to protect us. Our residents depend on having emergency services close to home. The community should not have to wonder whether help will still be there when we need it most.

We are calling on Bristol Township and all decision-makers to:

Preserve the Newportville Fire Company and its ability to provide emergency services to our community.
Provide residents with clear and complete information about any proposed changes or closure.
Allow the community to have a meaningful voice before any final decision is made.
Publicly explain how any proposed changes would affect emergency response times and public safety.
Work with the firefighters, residents, and community members to find solutions that keep Newportville protected.
This is bigger than a firehouse. This is about our homes, our families, our neighbors, and our community’s right to reliable emergency protection.
