For over 25 years, the Memphremagog Ski Touring Foundation and its volunteers have regularly groomed the Beebe Spur (Bike Trail) for cross country skiing, with a traditional two track and a smooth wider track for skate skiing.

During this time, the Beebe Spur has been used regularly by hundreds of cross country skiers, snowshoers, parents pulling their kids in sleighs and other pedestrian traffic.

Recognizing the importance and fun of snowmobiling in Vermont. The Beebe Spur is only 4 miles long but 7 feet wide and can not safely comingle both snowmobiles and people skiing, snowshoeing, pulling children in sleds, and people walking with dogs.

The change of use to include snowmobiling will expose people to serious or fatal accidents, waiting to happen, as well as destroy the groomed cross country ski trails.

If you support keeping the Beebe Spur (Bike Path) as it's been for 25 years as a winter path for cross country skiers, snowshoers, and people walking on the trail without the danger of snowmobiles please sign this petition.
