THANK YOU.
We have hit 400 signatures!
It's been a tough slog but there are now policy objections available on the website for those opposing the incinerator, and responding to the Planning Application, as well as points you might want to use to evidence them. You can find these here:
https://www.incineratesouthderbyshire.com/object
OBJECT ON PLANNING GROUNDS NOT EMOTION
Objections must be based on valid points and be supported with evidence.
If you previously put in a somewhat empty objection then it is perfectly reasonable to submit another. The empty objection will not really count as it doesn't relate to planning policy or determining factors.
There are also prettier versions of the objection points in the download here (but the written form is more extensive):

Feel free to copy and adapt to suit your position. There is so much detailed info in the application to go through in such a short time period, let alone understand the policy positions. Mine are by no means all that are possible.
If you don't have much time for this then copying and pasting the objections, although not ideal, is better than nothing.
SHARE
Any of the information can be shared - it's not private, and copying and redistributing it is not a problem either.
If you shared the petition ( https://chng.it/t8QvCJ7J )then please remind those signing to validate the email they receive or it won't count.
CLOSES SOON
There are only two more days left to comment on the application which closes on Tuesday 10th Jan 2022.
- If you haven't submitted your objection yet then there is still time.
- If on reflection your original objection wasn't detailed you can still submit another.
- You don't have to live on the doorstep of this development to object. A few people in local towns have told me they thought it was horrendous but didn't think they were allowed to object as they were not in the same street or villages. That's not the case.
