Much thanks for signing the petition to save the Modoc Road trees...
When we (our community) fought for, and won, the battle to protect 25 acres of open space along Modoc Road from development "forever" and "in perpetuity" back in 1999...we had no idea that we would be donning our battle armor for a new fight 23 years later, to save what we already thought was legally saved...we thought that it was "settled law"...
Well...here we are in 2022 asking for your support again...
LEGAL ACTION
We have hired a law firm to mount a legal challenge to this project…but, funds MUST be raised QUICKLY as SB County has fast tracked this project!
PLEASE donate to our legal fund…everything helps! All unused funds raised will be donated to the Santa Barbara Land Trust for maintenance of the Modoc Preserve.
The multi-use bike path project violates several elements of the Land Trust of Santa Barbara conservation easement agreement.
Please help us protect the Modoc Preserve and its inhabitants. Time is running out…help save these trees before it's too late!
