This was the day before the bridge reopened and I was very concerned about everyone’s pictures. 

The bridge reopened yesterday at 6pm and I am so pleased to say that many more of my pictures than I hoped, or I was led to believe would be saved, have survived!  I surveyed the bridge by torchlight last night. There have been casualties, but happily there are also many I can restore, and many in great condition! I’m absolutely sure it’s thanks to the petition.

Thank you all so much for your support. It has been heart warming and I believe the strength of public feeling helped to save the trail.
