At last week’s Peninsula Health Care District meeting, Director Dennis Zell announced that Sutter plans to reopen the therapy pool.

But the fight isn’t over yet.

We are still waiting for confirmation that the facility will be available for community use and not just for physical therapy patients.

What comes next?

  • We understand that Sutter is in the process of soliciting bids for repairs and remodeling work for the pool.
  • Physical therapy staff has been briefed about the reopening and awaits further details.
  • Warm Water Wellness CEO Lindsay Raike will give a presentation to the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors on April 25th to formalize the Board’s involvement in the Mickelson Therapy Pool Ad Hoc Committee.
  • Warm Water Wellness will continue to work with other members of the ad hoc committee to ensure that the therapy pool will be made available for community use.
