Save the Lucky's Apothecary!

Save the Lucky's Apothecary!
The Issue
Lucky's Market, located at the corner of Clifton Blvd and w117th on the border of Cleveland and Lakewood, has been a staple in the community since it opened in 2018. Fresh food, wonderful variety, knowledgeable staff and a small urban grocery store feel that is both cozy and practical. One of the STAPLES of Lucky's is it's wonderful Apothecary, where everything from locally made soaps and shampoos to high quality dietary supplements are sold, with the help of a small team dedicated to promoting health and wellness to the Cleveland community. Now, corporate (Dave's grocery store) is instructing our one-of-a-kind store to become more "uniform" and match the a sister store on Columbus, who's needs and community are vastly different than our own. They plan to shrink the apothecary to a third of it's original size, discontuning beloved products and possibly endangering the careers of the staff who manage the department.
NO ONE wants this change - from the staff to the customers who rely on the apothecary for goods, services and advice, we need to tell corporate that not all stores need to look the same. They were able to open another Lucky's in central Ohio because of the success of Lucky's Cleveland - so don't take away the very thing that made our little grocery store MORE than a grocery store! Their sales will drop and the Cleveland and Lakewood communities will lose a valuable resource needed to stay healthy and informed.
