Save the lives of the innocent Sudanese people

Save the lives of the innocent Sudanese people
The Issue
I'm not Sudanese. I have never traveled to Sudan. But seeing the horrifying headlines surrounding the Rapid Support Forces' (RSF) atrocities breaks my heart. Innocent people are being killed, displaced, and terrorized in Sudan due to hatred and racism, and the world cannot remain silent any longer.
The RSF (Rapid Support Forces), a paramilitary group, has been linked to numerous human rights abuses, including attacks on civilians, sexual violence, and forced displacement. According to Human Rights Watch, the RSF was responsible for the massacre of over 120 people during a peaceful protest on June 3, 2019, in Khartoum. Not only this, but they more recently committed a horrific massacre in El-Fasher, leading to thousands of deaths. And even then, the number is still thought to be undercounted. These killings are not soldiers. They are not politicians. They are ordinary people, ones who happen to come from non-Arab ethnic groups. This isn't simply a war raging on. It is brutal Arab supremacy and ethnic cleansing on behalf of the RSF. We need to step up and save these people from the RSF and their awful actions.
Due to the instability of the government, Sudan is nearly powerless. It cannot save its own civilians, provide aid, or even basic needs like food and water. This is leading to other devasting events, such as huge, deadly cholera outbreaks and famines.
These are the things needing to be done:
1. **Call for stronger international intervention**: The RSF is acting like a terrorist group with a complete disregard for human life. Because of this, we need them to be recognized as such and for high-ranking members like Hemedti and Abu Lulu to face criminal charges.
2. **Support humanitarian aid**: Governments need to be urged to send food, water, medical supplies, and any other items that are desperately needed. Along with this, we should also support nonprofits who can do the same.
3. **Raise global awareness**: If anyone who reads this could make a simple post on their social media, it would do wonders for the Sudanese people. People are also encouraged to peacefully protest, donate, and do any other safe actions to bring awareness to these tragedies.
We cannot just watch these horrendous actions occur and turn our cheek. By doing that, we are causing so many more innocent people to be killed, raped, assaulted, imprisoned, or tortured. I respectfully urge anyone who reached the bottom of this page to sign this petition and use their voice, which is more powerful than you think it is. All eyes on Sudan and its people, and rest easy to the innocent souls taken from us.
