EVENT: Rally to Launch Link Road Forest National Park Campaign
DATE: Sunday, 12th October 2025
TIME: 11.00 am – 1.00 pm
VENUE: Wallsend No. 2 Oval, Wallsend Park, Thomas Street, Wallsend
Both Newcastle Council and the community are eager to see this land protected in perpetuity — and the best way to achieve that is through the creation of a National Park for our region.
This precious mature native forest is home to more than 17 threatened species, including the koala. It is the green lungs of our cities.
At our upcoming launch, we’ll begin collecting signatures for an official petition to the NSW Parliament. Your support on the Change.org petition has already helped lift the campaign’s profile — thank you for being part of our growing campaign!
