The Landrum cats have been cared for and living outside of the building for over three years. Students, staff, and faculty love the cats and have grown attached to them. NKU is making us get rid of the cats or they will be calling animal control by February 27. This is devastating to both the cats themselves and everybody who loves them. Relocating a cat colony is unethical and incredibly harmful. Cats are very territorial and bond with their physical environment. They will often try to go back to their old location if they are removed, resulting in them getting lost, injured, or killed on the journey. Relocation is used as an absolute last resort and only if the cats themselves are in immediate danger. These cats are beloved by many and cause no harm to anyone or anything.
