The Issue

We respectfully petition that North East Lincolnshire Council formally recognize that the area between Ashby Close and Glenfield Road has been designated as a recreational ground since the construction of the houses in the 1970s. Initially, this was supposed to become a playground, which never materialized.

This space has been utilized exclusively for walking, socializing, and recreational activities for over 50 years. We urge that it continue to serve as a simple and relaxed area for the benefit of the entire community.

Additionally, we would like to highlight that bollards have always been placed around this area to prevent vehicle access and ensure it remains a safe space.

Furthermore, we request that the path be established as a public right of way, as it is crucial for the safety of pupils and is frequently used by the public.
