The Issue

The Walton Ferry / Sanders Ferry Peninsula in Hendersonville, Tennessee is the subject of overdevelopment & unnecessary high density housing. One of the last green places along Old Hickory Lake is between 462 Walton Ferry & the Hendersonville Arboretum; across from Hawkins JHS. This property is under threat from development, & we need to make it clear to the City & all developers this neighborhood DOES NOT WANT ANY MORE OF THIS. In order to preserve this property, & make it into a park or connect it to the Arboretum, we need everyone to make their voices heard! Sign the petition & let the City of Hendersonville know - we do NOT want this lakefront sold & developed!! Enough is enough!!

Thank you for reaching out regarding this petition. This issue relates to Ward 1, which is not the Ward I represent. Aldermen Mark Skidmore and Mark Burgdorf are the primary decision makers on matters in that area. That said, I always welcome hearing concerns from residents and make my decisions based on the facts of the situation and the voices of my constituents. Sincerely, Mark Evans Alderman, Ward 6

I am aware of the desire to preserve this land. I’m excited to learn more about the cost and how I can support the private initiative to raise funds. Rachel Collins Alderman, Ward 5 City of Hendersonville
