ITC Building Gets State Designation

A huge thank you - your support helped get State Antiquities Landmark designation for the Institute of Texan Cultures Building! 

News4SA is now running an online poll to see how many people agree with the State designation.  Please go to their poll and vote "Yes" by Monday, Nov. 11th!  Showing ongoing public support is key to our next step.

On October 25, 2024, the Texas Historical Commission voted 7-2 to approve the designation, giving this state agency the power of review over this Texas treasure. 

Unfortunately, the fight is not over. 

UTSA still intends to request a demolition permit.  In order for the commission to reject or amend this request, there must be compelling evidence that a preservation solution is in the public interest.  Please help us by continuing to circulate this petition to build the number of signatures.
